The Secret Life of Atoms: How Atoms Build Our World

About Course
The course structure follows Feynman’s “Atoms in Motion” chapter from Six Easy Pieces, but reimagined for kids.
We start with big-picture “whys” to hook interest, explain concepts simply (using everyday analogies like jiggling toys or dancing friends), then go deep with “hows” through step-by-step breakdowns, real examples, and thought experiments.
No prerequisites – everything builds from zero, assuming only curiosity.
Each topic and sub-topic stresses:
- Why?: Connects to real life, answering “Why learn this?” and “Why does it happen?” to make it meaningful (e.g., avoiding the “school trap” of just memorizing facts).
- How?: Breaks down processes simply, then layers in depth so kids become “experts” by visualizing, experimenting, and applying ideas.
