MORE THAN KNOWING THE MOVES
Watch a small
“aha!” become
a big smile.
At first, it is just a knight. Then your child spots the fork. Two pieces are under attack. Their eyes light up. They found it themselves.
That is the kind of learning we love at Debsie. Chess becomes a place to ask questions, try an idea, make a mistake and come back with a better plan. The lesson is alive because the learner is part of it.
We bring together excellent chess teaching partners around the world and a shared, structured curriculum. Every class has a purpose; every learner has room to be curious. Our goal is a child who can explain their thinking, enjoy a challenge and say, “Let me try.”
Let’s find their first aha!ONE SHARED CURRICULUM. MANY LITTLE VICTORIES.
A clear path.
An endlessly interesting game.
Good teaching has a direction. Our partner model brings a common learning framework to each class, with the pace and challenges shaped around the learner.
- 01
Meet the board.
Discover the pieces, their moves, safe squares and checkmate. Start playing small, friendly games straight away.
“I know what I can do.” - 02
Find the surprise.
Spot forks, pins and hidden threats. Puzzles become little mysteries, with time to explain the answer.
“Wait… I see something!” - 03
Make a plan.
Connect opening ideas, piece activity and your opponent’s choices. Learn to ask why before choosing a move.
“Here’s what I’m thinking.” - 04
Bring it together.
Practise endgames, play fuller games and review key moments. Turn a result into a useful next step.
“Next time, I’ll try this.”
A GREAT CLASS SHOULD FIT YOUR LIFE
Across the table.

Two ways to come together. The same delight in discovering a good move.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
Before your
first move.
My child has never played. Is that okay?
Absolutely. A first class can start with the board, the pieces and a small challenge. There is no need to memorise the rules beforehand. Tell us they are a new beginner in the form.
What if they already know how to play?
Tell us about their experience. The trial is an opportunity to understand how they think, find an interesting challenge and discuss a suitable next step.
Can adults take a trial class too?
Yes. Curiosity has no age limit. Complete the form with your own details and playing experience, and we’ll discuss the right class for you.
Does submitting the form book a time automatically?
No. Your preferred times help us arrange the trial; the team will confirm the class with you. Include your country and time zone so we can get the timing right.
Are there offline classes in every city listed?
Our online classes connect families across these regions. In-person options depend on local partner availability. Tell us your city and preferred format so we can confirm what is available before you decide.
